  Product backlog grouped by release

The user stories in your product backlog are what will continue to make your software great. Keeping them organized and readily available for moving into a sprint is a key to ensuring your agile process works properly.

In OnTime Scrum, the backlog is organized hierarchically, and it can be further grouped, sorted, or filtered in any combination of views that makes sense for your team. You can even save and share those views.

  Hierarchical release and sprint management

OnTime Scrum provides you with the release management tools you need in order for your team to successfully do this. Define your products and optionally associate projects that will make up the product's backlog. Then, hierarchically add versions and sprints with start and end dates, defining which user stories belong to each of these milestones.

  Burndown chart

Burndown charts are perhaps the single most important aspect of the Scrum process. They allow you to see how much work remains, how much work is getting done, the rate (or velocity) at which the work is getting done, and even provide you with a projected completion date. With OnTime, your team will always have real-time burndown charts in an instant.

  Role-based security privileges

Role-based security in OnTime Scrum helps ensure team members have access to only projects and items they are authorized to view and/or edit. It also helps enforce your team's process, by only allowing certain security roles to move an item from one workflow step to the next. For example, you could set up OnTime so that only scrum masters are able to move items into a sprint. Or, you could allow only your QA team to move an item from the "Testing in Progress" workflow step to "Testing Complete." Each team member can have multiple (additive) security roles assigned to them.
