Flexible process automation.

Adapt your team’s process workflow with ease.

OnTime is ready to work for you, automating your agile or Scrum methodologies. It’s also flexible enough to be customized to your own custom, ad hoc processes.

  • Enforce your workflow
  • Use role-based security to ensure that only certain users can move items from one workflow step to another, which can in turn trigger various actions (like requiring a work log entry)
  • Assign a unique workflow to item types (user stories, defects, help desk incidents) on a global or project-by-project basis
  • Change your field template (or the data you collect) based on the workflow step
  • Send email notifications when an item changes from one workflow step to another

Automate the approval and development process of user stories and allow OnTime to enforce your processes without getting in the way:

Your workflow can be as simple or as complex as your process demands. A simple three-step workflow might be all you need for a given process:

You can design a completely separate workflow for bug tracking, to make sure that testers are intimately involved with the workflow of each bug:

Customize your workflow.

In the Manage Workflow options, you can see all workflows available, organized by item type. You can drag and drop to reorganize steps, quickly change associated colors, or edit the options for each step.

When editing a workflow step, there are tons of configuration options available to you. You can modify what fields are changed, what team roles can move items in this step to other steps, who might be notified, subitem restrictions, prompt for a work log entry, and more.
